E-Ticket Entry Requirements

CBYD’s E-Ticket Entry is designed exclusively for users who provide a street with an address number. A valid street address will identify a longitude and latitude coordinate thereby identifying the appropriate registered utility companies. The E-Ticket Entry has no “built in” mapping function. As such, all users of the E-Ticket Entry should note:

DO NOT use the E-Ticket Entry under these conditions:

  1. Properties without an address number
  2. New streets/sub-divisions/condo complexes
  3. Working from one intersection to another intersection
  4. Properties dealing with Lot numbers
  5. Any location request that requires "footage and direction"

ONLY one (1) property address number per ticket can be issued. DO NOT list multiple street addresses in the remarks section.

To assist utility locators, please be specific with type of work and location of work.
For example, TYPE OF WORK: relocate telephone pole, not excavate for pole.

START DATE: Routine: 2 full working days NOT to include the day the E-Ticket is submitted nor holidays. If E-Tickets are submitted after 5 p.m., the start date is one day later.

For example, if an E-Ticket is submitted on Monday, the first legal start date is Thursday. If an E-Ticket is submitted after 5 p.m. on a Monday, the legal start date is Friday.

Terms and Conditions

  • All Routine Dig Location Requests must provide at least 2 full working days notice and shall not include the day notice is provided.
  • Renewal of tickets must be done BEFORE the existing ticket expires. Should a ticket exceed thirty (30) days, a new ticket is required.
  • Emergency Dig Location Requests must conform to conditions required by state law.

You may be subject to a fine if this is not a situation involving danger to life, health, property or the interruption of operation of a major plant, or to assure the continuity of public utility service. CBYD will record your notice, however you must contact the involved utility companies directly.
