In CT over 17,000 students, mentors and spectators benefit from the CYBD support and are exposed to the safety missions of both CBYD and FIRST
Worldwide, FIRST connects with over 615,000 K-12 students to provide STEM-focused education starting with moveable Legos in the early grades and concluding with competitive large-scale robotics at the high school level.
FIRST's mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
