Want to have a safe excavating season this year? Contact CBYD to attend one of our monthly safety meetings. We meet the first Wednesday of the month and discuss in detail CBYD regulations and requirements. This is your chance to have questions answered and learn more about the CBYD underground utility damage prevention program. There is no charge and the meeting runs about 90 minutes so that you have plenty of time to get back to work. If you have a large group that needs to be brought up to speed on CBYD regulations, contact us at (203)248-5502 or email email@example.com and we will arrange to come to you. Also, the State of Connecticut Public Utility Regulatory Authority(PURA) employs a full time representative that can come out to your workplace and provide an expanded safety program exclusively for your organization. PURA will review CBYD state regulations, show CBYD's new safety awareness video, discuss compliance & enforcement measures, and end with questions and answers. PURA is also available for evening engagements to address special interest groups or associations. Contact Joe Gallo at PURA by calling (860)833-7200 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange your personal safety meeting.
Please note - Should you request CBYD or the PURA to attend a safety presentation at your facility, please be certain to reserve a minimum of 1 hours time for our comprehensive safety presentation. Also, a television and VCR is recommended to take advantage of our 14 minute safety awareness video. To ensure maximum effectiveness of our program to your group, consider a morning program rather than afternoon. Due to the number of requests we receive, CBYD requires a minimum of twenty (20) attendees to the scheduled meeting however PURA is more flexible.
In a hurry and need a CBYD ticket? CBYD offers E-Ticket(electronic) notification via its website. If you have access to the internet, you can complete a location request, routine or emergency form on line and submit it directly to CBYD. You will receive your ticket number and the associated utility companies that will be notified of your request in real-time. Renewal of your old ticket is also available! Simply click INTERACTIVE WEB on the top of our homepage and then click NEW USERS. Acknowledge the "terms of agreement" portion and complete/submit the registration form (for first time users). When CBYD receives your E-Ticket registration, we will then assign you a password to access the E-Ticket program. It's that simple. Also note, CBYD has added a "Dynamic Buffer" to the E-Ticket. The user can select from a drop down box, the furthest footage from where the address of the dig location is provided. This buffer will capture and ensure all utility companies within a 360-degree circumference will be notified. If no buffer distance is selected, the system will automatically default to 133 feet of the address entered. Custom on-line mapping will assist you in creating your ticket. Visual mapping is optioned in various formats includingTerrain or Satelite Mode. Have questions? Call us at 800-922-4455 and a Customer Service Representative will assist you.
