At CBYD we are implementing emergency response measures in accordance with updates provided by Governor Lamont and our Commissioner of Public Health. Our objective is to ensure the well-being of our staff, our One Call industry partners and the citizens of Connecticut. These measures include, but are not limited to:

  • Cancelling or postponing external industry related group activities, such as excavator safety seminars and training programs as well as our attendance at trade shows and association meetings, for the next 30 days (April 15th)
  • Minimizing on-site staff and implementing remote work or work-from-home practices where possible
  • Enacting environment and hygiene policies in the best interest of our employees and the public, including limiting the use of our office space by outside organizations, minimizing internal meetings and limiting access to our office by members of the public and other non-employees

We apologize for any inconvenience these measures may cause, but we trust that you will understand since most of our industry partners have implemented similar measures as we contend with the effects of the Pandemic.

As a result of State mandates, our industry partners are reducing staff and occupancy in their offices and resources may be limited. It is possible that there may be some delays in completing utility locates. Please ensure that you and your staff are adhering to State regulations that require excavators to confirm all utility responses before commencing work. If you have not received a response from a utility, please contact that facility owner for an update and wait for that facility to be marked or cleared before starting your job. Utility contact numbers can be found on the PDF Confirmation Ticket sent to your email. A facility that is damaged under our current situation could lead to even more turmoil than usual.
